A dalmatian ready for holiday

There’s so many factors to consider when we think about taking our dogs on holiday.

What time of year are we going?

What will the temperature be?

Are we going somewhere dog friendly?

Will my Dog to tolerate the journey?

Will my Dog cope in a different situation?

While there are so many more things we need to consider it’s important. We need to focus on our dog in this situation rather than what we feel we need.

Are you going on holiday in the midst of summer and wanting to take your reactive dog to a busy beach resort?

While we may want a holiday for all of us, it may not be suitable for our dog. We also need to consider if we can take everything we need do you have space for a weeks worth of dog food?

Do you know where the local Vets are?

Do you have a travel first aid kit for your dog?

If you are a family with kids, are you able to cope with concentrating on both your children and your dogs while you’re on holiday?

Will your dog truly add to the holiday experience or will it just add stress to the situation?

If you’ve gone through all of those questions and still want to take your dog away with you then check my checklist below to see what I think you need -
