Man v Bear - Is it really Human v Animal?

This has been a big debate over social media recently and this is my theory.

While yes its come out that a lot of people are not trusting of men, its also that as a nation of animal lovers we trust our animals more than we trust people.

People are calculating, manipulative and selfish. We act out of want not a need of survival like animals do. Every action an animal makes is in order to fulfill a need. Whether its to get a threat to move away, to fulfill their hunger or thirst, or to protect their family, they always have a reason for their actions.

We can trust in our animals because they are generally predictive, we know what actions they take for certain reasons, and if they aren't predictable we always know that there is a reason on why they aren't predictable. A reactive rescue dog may not bark at every human, it may be they only bark at men but for what we know is in their past home they were abused by the man of the house.

Unfortunately as time goes on people become more self serving, and less thoughtful towards the people around them. Manners have gone out of the window, they dont say thank you or sorry. Its very much a why should i if they dont.

If an animal attacks there is ALWAYS a reason for it, that sometimes we fail to see. However when it comes to people it can be just as simple as 'they wanted to', they want revenge, they want to piss people off. Our advantage of our brain is really a fault that we have to own, because its made us less conscientious of our world around us. People are caring less about people and how their actions affect the world.

This is something we see every day as dog owners too. The 'oh they're friendly' patrol thinking its okay for their dog with no recall to be off lead running up to people because they're friendly. When what they dont

is that their dog is bounding over to an rescue ex bait dog who is just settling into a new home after 5 years of being thrown in a ring to fight. Too many selfish people out there doing what they want because it suits them.

So yes while i do get the Man v Bear response that so many people have come out with, i do think that as a whole we also trust animals a lot more than our own race.
